EMMA, HARRY & RUTHIE
MOTHER’S DAY 2026
IF YOU COULD SHARE A PIECE OF ADVICE WITH 10-YEAR-OLD THEM WHAT WOULD IT BE?
“Be true to who you are. Don't try to be anyone else. Be you. That's what I wish I knew when I was 10. Just be you.”
ON HARRY
“Even on the day he was born we knew Harry was going to be a people pleaser. We thought, he’ll walk into a room and everyone will be like “Harry’s here!”
And that’s exactly what he is like. He just lights up a room.”
ON RUTHIE
“I love this period of innocence and curiosity. Everything she sees for the first time is truly the first time she's experiencing it. And she’s so easy-go-lucky. She's simply amazing.”
WHAT’S SOMETHING YOU LOVED FROM YOUR CHILDHOOD THAT YOU HOPE TO BRING INTO THEIRS?
“A love for outdoors.”
And in particular Harry is really into gardening right now. Which is amazing. We have blueberry and raspberry bushes and last year he was at the age where he was picking berries off the bushes himself and eating them. And this year he's starting to understand where food comes from. Like this year we overwintered parsnips and we've been cooking and eating them. If you ask him where they come from, he says the garden. That's something that’s very important to me. I'm really proud he knows where food comes from.
